Submissions

When you submit a post to PROOFOFLOVE.EARTH, we may collect:

• The message you submit;
• An optional display name;
• The precise latitude and longitude of the location you select;
• The date and time of your submission; and
• Information relating to moderation and approval of your submission.

Providing a display name is optional.

Public Information

PROOFOFLOVE.EARTH is a public platform. If your submission is approved and published, your message, optional display name, and selected map location may become publicly visible.

The location you select may be precise. Do not select a private or sensitive location unless you are comfortable making that location public. Do not submit another person’s private or sensitive location without permission.

Submission dates and moderation information may be stored internally even when they are not displayed publicly.

Photos

Photo uploading is currently disabled for public submissions.

If photo functionality is introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy and related practices may be updated as appropriate before or when that functionality becomes available.

When you use the Site, certain technical information may be processed automatically by the Site or its service providers.

Depending on the service involved, this may include:

• IP address;
• Page views and requested pages;
• Referring source;
• Device type;
• Browser or user-agent information;
• Country or approximate geographic information derived from an IP address;
• Map requests and geographic areas viewed;
• Error reports; and
• Other technical information necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and deliver the Site.

The PROOFOFLOVE.EARTH application does not currently store visitors’ IP addresses in its submissions database.

PROOFOFLOVE.EARTH does not require visitors to create an account to view posts or express love for a post.

The Site generates a random identifier and stores it in your browser’s local storage. This identifier is used to remember which posts your browser has expressed love for without requiring an account.

When you express love for a post, the Site may store:

• The random browser identifier;
• The identifier of the post; and
• The date and time of the interaction.

The identifier is randomly generated. It is not derived from your name or email address and is not attached to posts you submit.

You may be able to clear locally stored information through your browser’s controls.

PROOFOFLOVE.EARTH is built around geographically placed messages.

When you submit a post, the precise latitude and longitude you select are stored.

If your post is approved and published, that selected location may become publicly available as part of the post.

Mapbox is used to provide mapping functionality and may process technical information such as your IP address, user-agent information, referrer information, map requests, geographic areas viewed, and service-related telemetry or session information.

Mapbox may also be used to convert coordinates into human-readable place names.

You are responsible for selecting a location you are comfortable sharing publicly.

PROOFOFLOVE.EARTH offers an optional translation feature.

When you choose to translate a message, the message text and requested target language may be processed through Lovable’s AI infrastructure and Google’s Gemini technology for the purpose of generating a translation.

The post author’s display name, selected coordinates, visitor identifier, and photos are not currently sent to the AI translation service as part of this feature.

Translations are automated and may contain mistakes, omissions, or changes in meaning.

Artificial intelligence is not currently used to approve or reject submissions. Content moderation is performed manually.

Third-party services are used to operate PROOFOFLOVE.EARTH. These currently include:

Lovable — website hosting, infrastructure, analytics, error reporting, and AI gateway services.

Supabase / Lovable Cloud — database infrastructure, storage, and administrator authentication.

Mapbox — map rendering, geographic information, reverse geocoding, and related service telemetry.

Google — Google Fonts and Gemini technology used through Lovable’s AI infrastructure for optional translation.

These providers may process technical information such as IP addresses as part of providing their services.

Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to:

• Comply with applicable law, legal process, court orders, or lawful governmental requests;
• Investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or suspected violations of applicable rules;
• Enforce applicable Terms or policies;
• Respond to support, privacy, safety, or rights-related requests;
• Protect PROOFOFLOVE.EARTH; or
• Protect the rights, safety, or property of users or others.

PROOFOFLOVE.EARTH currently uses browser local storage to maintain the anonymous visitor identifier used for likes.

Administrator authentication may also use browser storage, but this functionality is limited to authorized Site administration.

Third-party service providers may use cookies, local storage, session identifiers, or similar technologies as necessary to provide their services.

PROOFOFLOVE.EARTH does not currently use advertising pixels or advertising technology to build behavioral advertising profiles.

If advertising, additional analytics, or other tracking technologies are introduced in the future, this Privacy Policy may be updated and additional notices, choices, or consent mechanisms may be implemented where appropriate or required by law.

PROOFOFLOVE.EARTH does not currently respond differently to browser Do Not Track (“DNT”) signals.

The Site also does not currently alter its behavior in response to Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signals.

PROOFOFLOVE.EARTH does not currently operate advertising technology or use first-party information for cross-site behavioral advertising.

If our practices change or applicable law requires different treatment of recognized preference signals, we may update our practices and this Privacy Policy.

Approved posts may remain publicly available as part of the PROOFOFLOVE.EARTH archive until removed.

Pending submissions may remain stored while awaiting moderation.

Because PROOFOFLOVE.EARTH has limited moderation capacity, a pending submission may remain pending for an extended period and may never be reviewed.

Information may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• Operate and maintain the Site;
• Preserve the public archive;
• Moderate content;
• Resolve disputes or complaints;
• Comply with legal obligations;
• Prevent abuse;
• Maintain security; and
• Protect the Site and its users.

We may delete pending, approved, or other submissions when reasonably necessary for moderation, safety, legal, technical, storage, operational, or other legitimate purposes.

When an administrator permanently deletes a post, the post and associated like records are designed to be deleted from the active database. Where a post has an associated stored photo, the deletion process is designed to remove that file when it is no longer referenced by another post.

If you submitted content and would like to request its removal, or if you believe a post improperly contains your private or sensitive information, contact:

Please provide enough information for us to reasonably identify the relevant content.

Because PROOFOFLOVE.EARTH does not require visitor accounts and some interactions use anonymous browser identifiers, we may not be able to associate certain anonymous activity with a particular individual.

We may request reasonable information necessary to identify the relevant content or process a request.

A request does not necessarily guarantee removal where retention is permitted or required by applicable law, although we will evaluate requests as appropriate.

PROOFOFLOVE.EARTH is a general-audience service and is not intended for children under 13.

You must be at least 13 years old to submit content or otherwise provide personal information through the Site.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 in circumstances requiring deletion, we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

Parents or guardians who believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the Site may contact:

Administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect information and restrict access to non-public submissions and administrative functionality.

However, no website, database, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

PROOFOFLOVE.EARTH cannot guarantee absolute security.

You may choose:

• Not to provide an optional display name;
• Not to submit a post;
• Which location to associate with a submission;
• Not to use the translation feature; and
• To clear locally stored Site information using your browser controls.

You may also contact support@proofoflove.earth regarding removal of content or privacy concerns.

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have additional rights concerning personal information. Legally applicable privacy rights and requests will be handled as required by applicable law.

PROOFOFLOVE.EARTH may contain links to or rely upon services operated by third parties.

Those third parties may have their own terms, privacy policies, and data practices.

This Privacy Policy describes the practices of PROOFOFLOVE.EARTH and does not control the independent practices of third parties.

This Privacy Policy may be updated as PROOFOFLOVE.EARTH evolves, including when new features, service providers, advertising, analytics, or data practices are introduced.

When changes are made, the effective date may be updated. Additional notice of material changes may be provided where appropriate or required by law.
